Do you need a hunting license if you hunt coyotes?

I always carry in the woods/mtns.. even if it's a 9mm pistol... the two-leggers are as bad as any of the four-leggers Ive run into out there. Don't need a license to carry a defensive pistol. But then Im in Colorado, so the laws may be different...
Even to shoot yotes and jacks here you need a hunter Safety Certificate stating you passed a Safety course. Since I no longer keep chickens I don't shoot at the yotes, and jacks & prairie dogs are just targets of opportunity and they are left where they drop.
