Great day, great turnout and I'm glad the weather cooperated. Funny how all the "crazy guns folks" are about the most down to earth people around, especially during a protest. Complete opposite of the gun-grabbing socialists.

absolutely.

we're just a bunch of regular guys!

I dressed for mid 50s and rain. Man was I warm...
Adam Kraut at the podium, wish he had a longer speach...

I'd have to agree with this. Had a couple of State Troopers next to me for awhile... Thought my reputation proceeded me and all.

But on the other side of them was a fellow with s slung AR. Troopers were carrying on conversations without concern or so it seemed to a casual observer.
seems like most of the people i saw talking with troopers were open carry.

i have mixed feelings on open carry... basically it boils down to "you can but SHOULD you"

i just dont want the attention.

So I did see one individual, a red headed young man who was standing in front of me, giving thumbs down when applause erupted and repeately stating "common sense regulation".

Four of five people made comments directly to him, but there wasn't confrontation... Eventually, he departed, shortly before 15:00... That's kinda telling about our side, we're peaceful, respectful, non-destructive, clean, kind and orderly.

I wonder just how much of that crowd as armed? 80%? 90%? More?

probably 99% minus kids and dogs

^^^Agree 100%, I know I can and that's all I need. I prefer keeping what I'm carrying out of sight. Lots of folks talking about EDC, training/practicing... it was like a great big family reunion.

60% of all individuals. Taking into consideration of children, minors etc.

Some were double just because so that should count for something.

Us "Three Amigos" were having that very discussion! Just because we can ( and should with out regulation/restriction) doesn't mean we should! I much prefer to fly under the radar unsuspected and undetected! I WANT to be feared for what I might be capable of or carrying ( or not) rather when what any one can see, and I don't want to advertise "Gun Here, Help Your Self" should things turn Sporty!

It should be a common site, and no one should have any issue with it open or concealed, but that's not the world we live in! Personally, I find it offensive that in this day and age in this country, a person should feel the real legitimate need to carry, but, I made peace with the facts of the world I live in, and as a choice, I choose ( as is my god given right) to do so!

I would agree with the above estimates of concealed carry or open carry folks in attendance at the event!

after having such a pleasent time today at the protest, i would be interested to hear about if any antis were there out of curiosity and to hear their experience...
:)

There was one person walking past us who seemed like it. Said something nasty, but I didn't hear enough to know if he was a grumpy kid or mayby an antifa type.

Most everyone there was friendly, polite and enthusiastic. There were some families with kids. It was a good day.

I saw two possables, most like two dumb kids with no idea what was going on, or potential agitators yugely outnumbered by lots of folks with guns or the potential of being armed!

we are THE peaceful crowd
Agree. There were no issues, no problems. Nice people all. The scariest moment of my whole day was when someone announced that some cars were being towed at the Safeway. I thought the state lot I parked in could get me towed too. I asked a couple of troopers standing around, told them which lot, and they said I should be fine.

I had every intention of being there today and getting to meet some of the familiar names in person, but other family obligations prevented it. From the photos that have been posted, I AM SO PROUD TO BE A PART OF THIS DEMOGRAPHIC!

I thank each one of you who attended for your sacrifice of time and money to represent me and other good people of Oregon in defending a natural, God-given right that really should need no defense!

"Wifey and I both felt a sense of pride looking over the mass of people there."

Then you felt about the same way that @SgtNambu, Taku, @3MTA3 and myself years ago on a cold rainy work day morning.
The only difference was there was less than a hundred people at our gathering....
We were proud that we were there representing fellow gun owners who didn't show up.
