More service members, dependents testing positive with coronavirus as Pentagon restricts travel

Was wondering if any in the US forces had tested positive (still waiting to be confirmed by CDC) - like oregon its all presumptive positive meaning locally.

Can only imagine being in B's right now being restricted from travel and having leave cancelled. Barracks were pretty tight like a long hall with rooms as "big" as a studio apartment with 2 people in it (at least in Ft Drum).

What did he say? I heard state of emergency but have no idea what that means.

I called the Hawaii Department of health yesterday morning to get a covid test done. They did not call back until 24 hours later. I ordered the test through the private lab instead. When they called back today I asked how many people they have answering the physician emergency line - 1 - for the entire state. They had no idea if they had supplies of N95 masks to give us even though they are supposed to stockpile them for a pandemic.

So the DOH is still worse than useless.

They have tested 19 people (20 if you include the one I did) for the entire state. Cruise ships are still arriving daily. Sick people are flying in for their vacations daily with no testing or screening. They state has no intention to stop this because of tourist dollars.

the local urgent care closed for a month because they have no masks. The local lab and xray closed indefinitely. There is no one in any official position that is actually talking with doctors that I know of. At least none with me.

So I'd say we are just as F-d with what ever trump said because the local idiots are still in charge here and they are ready to kill us all for the tourist industry.

Sad to have to remind people but......

Hawaii is a hot bed of Dems.

Buddy of my live in Israel. And it's bubblegum show there now. Only military personnel reports back to jobs. Rest of the population should stay home. Most of the stores are empty, other's have 2-3 hours long lines. From Monday they will have foot patrol to keep people inside.

Here is an odd very recent experience. I was up at OHSU about 4 weeks ago to visit the hypertension clinic in the Physicians Pavilion. So before I go to visit my doctor for a bp check I visited the boys room. As I entered the boys room, an Asian person with a mask was going to come into the boys room and stood frozen and a good deal removed from entering. Here is the catch. That male Asian person had a mask on over his mouth. Second clue; just down the hall from the hypertension clinic is guess what? "Infectious disease". So, I go to the front desk of the hypertension clinic and comment to the staffer that I felt nervous up here with infectious disease just down the hall. She was nervous as well.
48 hours later my nose is running like a like water come out of a hose. Next my temp was up and down bit less than 100. Next I am coughing like wow! something in in my chest!
So, fortunately, I had a supply of a Z-pac in the fridge at 1000 mgs a day. Within 48 hours I have feeling pretty good again, but not complete. I go to pcp and she prescribes me another z-pac in case this first blast does not stop the bug. I am better in 3-4 days with the Z-pac at 1000 mgs/day. I have a history of being prone to bronchitis and other lung infections.
Here is the catch. I am almost always very healthy but for a few age related declines.
I think I caught an infectious disease from that OHSU patient. When he saw me enter the men's room he stood frozen and stood his distance and did not enter the room. Very bad signal!

So? Would you have felt better if the guy was of another Nationality or Race?

Just saying. But......

Being homeless.....perhaps, he knew that he had just a regular cold. But, he just wanted medical care, a clean warm bed and free meals for a couple of nights.

So.....why not game the system?

Not looking in the right places. Materia Medicas is where you will find it, particularly with the Eclectics 19th and early 20th centuries.

Id say buy a tincture from Herb Pharm. It has a besutiful flower, but its meant to be harvested late fall...so again, buy the tincture.

Consuming the fiber is not recommended, solely the juice, or extract of the root. It can cause a nasty rash otherwise. If youre not fairly expert in plant ID, I would recommend getting to be 1st, before wild crafting.

I combine it with 3 other plants with great success better than 25 years. Also, Lomatium dissectum one of 75
