So today...
We had a district wide meeting regarding our schools and plans for "what if"...
Looks like we are preparing for a 2-6 week closure.

Personally I really ain't worried 'bout me getting or not gettin' "Captain Trips" ...
Just want to keep my students calm and safe.

Hey someone got the joke!

I've been thinking about this. Hunkering down at home for me (an introvert) is really no big deal because it's mostly my normal state. The only real difference is that instead of hitting the supermarket once a week -- which I don't enjoy anyway -- I won't have to go for at least a couple months having stocked up pretty well in the last week or so. A chest freezer sure helps in that regard. I feel like I'm going to become an actual food prepper after this. I wish I already was.

I think they're a bit overwhelmed I went through the ordering screen FOUR times. Then this!!:mad: Screenshot_2020-03-12 Site off-line Drupal.png

This video is just the plain and straight truth and why I never considered myself a Libertarian, since most support open-border with no checks/balances of immigrants. INSANITY! I do agree Trump was right to try to not be reliant on China, but the liberals are all about One-World government which is a self-destructive liberal mindset that some Libertarians even have, sadly. I bet many of the Libertarians who believed in open immigration may have second thoughts now that we are reaping the fruits of it.

As well, many hardcore liberals who were against open immigration, may now have second thoughts of the free-love, one-world where everyone can live in the USA (and suck off our system).

We need to become a true capitalist country with less regulations and taxes on large and small businesses so these companies don't all flee to third world to utilize the leverage these poor, authoritarian slave states like China have. Now we are becoming totally dependant on CHina for our survival and that puts us in a weak, helpless and pathetic situation that we are in today

Maybe, this Coronavirus is a blessing in disguise and real wake-up call for our nation. We should only be thankful this epidemic is not a highly contagious virus with a 60% mortality rate. With the lax sanitation laws in China and the high demand for exotic and strange meats, the place is a reservoir for diseases. Africa and other parts of Asia are as well. A good number of the diseases in our world have been transmitted through eating contaminated animals. THere is a reason why the Mosaic laws had several dietary laws , because back in the day, eating the wrong type of meat could cause a disease outbreak that could wipe out an entire group (even nation) of people.

I had no clue there was such a large Chinese community in Milan area, but it makes sense. I've heard that for years more and more Italians have been pushed out of the textile and clothing industry and they have been imported cheaper labor from Eastern Europe and now it appears from China, where many of the Italian companies have their manufacturing facilities. I love a good Italian suit, like a Zegna, Armani, Gucci, Versace, Prada, etc. Haha, I cannot afford these, of course. But, these days, Armanis, Zegnas, Versaces are being made in China. That would have been unheard of about even 15 years ago and total heresay to fashion gurus. I didn't realize there was such a close connection here. Of course, it makes people pay much more for the Made in Italy label. You got to Neiman Marcus and many of these wealthy people will not touch anythign that says Made in China. So what do they do? They bring China to Italy and can put a Made in Italy label for a fraction the price.. Haa..

And, Italy is not a cheap country anymore, with the adopting of Eurodollars. Many Italians live in poverty . Lombardy is probably the wealthiest part of the country. But, the wages in Italy are low, corruption is high, government services are poor and it is a socialist style government like many other EU countries. The mafia still wields considerable power in the Southern part of the country which has resulted in a lots of problems, as they control parts of government and the services they provide to the citizens. Inflation has been plaguing the country, like in Greece and Spain. But, without a "Fashion Industry" with the needs of cheap outside labor. In our country we do very similar utilize cheap labor from Mexico. All the guys working on my apartment complex cannot speak ENglish well and are all probably undocumented immigrants from Mexico. I see them working 6 days a week, in both 20F and 98F with high humidity weather for 12 hours a day. Cannot do that with an American worker with all the regulations and liabilities employers have with a legal citizen.

I subscribed to this guy's channel.

Not EU, pretty much as isolationist as one can get. (Not to be confused with Sweden... Norway is strict with visitors...)
