Uh... On answering, would you care to take a third shot at answering my questions?
Here they are for the third to to you, Dee-Dubya
Stay on point, Dee-Dubya... Here, I'll ask it again

Enlighten us please, as to just what it is our Liberal 2A supporters are doing that has some teeth in it.
What is it again that you are doing?
What achievements?

Are you better, ignored?

They're supporting Feinstein is what they are doing.

Here's your civility:

MSNBC: Um, we can?t reach a conclusion about whether the Sandy Hook dad was ?heckled? or not « Hot Air

Feel free to search for more sources on this story or the raw video from the testimony.

That's actually a really good example. The guy was being out of cuff, disrespectful to the group behind him. Then, after he used their silence as agreement did people politely respond.

He deserved the extremely mild remonstration he received, and liberals want to call it heckling. It's rather sad. It's also sad that he felt the need to use 20 dead children to further his fearfulness. Don't politicize the dead. He's very lucky that's all the response he got.

You make no sense, and you're still not trying to become part of the solution.

I had your sickness once. Then I grew up and became a contributing member of society. I quickly realized how much contributors get used by liberal takers. You all advocate for frilly feel good things, I know, I was right there with the rest of you, I was right there protesting war, and fighting to protect the first amendment rights of people who want to express themselves. What I learned quickly, is that hidden in what you advocate is a desire for the state to enforce your every whim. To use the tip of the state's spear to come to bear against anyone who didn't agree with you. You people are worse than commies, you come with open arms and false pretenses of friendship, when what you really want is weakness, pervasive fear, and emotion to win out over intelligence, morality, and personal responsibility.

Don't tell me what I have and have not been. I had your cancer, I removed it. If more liberals and conservatives got their acts together, we'd all be in a better place. Ya'll are the same, R and D, and it's pathetic. The whole concept of a pro-2A liberal is amusing, they call for state control on one side, but then claim to support an amendment that is designed specifically to limit state control. Completely irrational. You want to steal from producers with the guns of the government. That's it. That is it.

You still seem to think I'm a Liberal. I'm not.

O.K... I'll bite. What do you see yourself as?
I've never been a member of any party, though I voted for Gary Johnson in November. I'm a father, and a husband. I'm a soldier and veteran. I'm a business owner who pays a lot of taxes; I wish I paid less. I prefer State government, though I see the need for federal control in some situations. I'm a gun owner, and a vocal proponent of gun education and rights in my community. I'm a proponent of healthful living. I'm an honest man. I have an open mind, but a discerning sense of judgment. I am a philanthropist, I believe in helping those who need and deserve help. I also believe in punishing those who need and deserve punishment.

What would you say that I am?

Listening to Levin talk for 8 minutes in his own words about the book and his philosophy of what he calls a statist is plenty to get the gist of the book.

Nobody wants to enslave people. Nobody wants the state to be all powerful to submit their will to. its all so dumb and melodramatic.

On the contrary, plenty of people are conceited enough to want exactly that: The Fatal Conceit - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Entire societies have been ruined by people with the hubris to believe they know better than everyone else and therefore have the right to dictate their will to others. Just because the US is not (yet) a totalitarian state, doesn't mean such people don't already hold positions of influence in this country and are working to consolidate power.

Does it really matter at all what anyone "wants" if that's where things are allowed to drift to?

It may be trivial, to be sure, but if I want a sixty four ounce diet soda in NYC, why should I be forced to buy two thirty ouncers to get that?

Each state sponsored nibble of our freedoms eventually consumes the whole. No one but a power-monger "wants" totalitarian oppression all in one go. In a democracy, the so-called "well intentioned" citizens enslave themselves and their posterity incrementally.

So, you are completely 100% in opposition to the basic tenets of liberalism, and will not accept their help in defending gun rights, no matter how extreme or moderate. Is that correct?

If you require your 2A supporters to believe so fervently in the 2nd amendment that they be willing to forsake all their other beliefs, then I suppose no liberal will ever fit your bill, but neither will most moderates from either side of that spectrum. That doesn't bode well for those of us that care about our gun rights.

What a liberal 2A supporter can do is spread gun education and ideology among their peers, introducing guns to a demographic that would never be swayed by arguments from the right. That demographic is also vitally important if we want to win this issue. The impact may be small, but it is small in an area where without them it would be virtually zero.

Probably, the best thing a liberal 2A supporter can do is to go shooting with his or her friends. You guys probably won't get a chance to introduce guns in a friendly, safe, inviting manner to those same people. A vote is a vote.

Could've fooled me. The income tax being example #1. Some hate tobacco but love pot. Some love tobacco but hate pot. Both support laws to ban the other. Both often support booze being legal despite its nasty effects on our society. Most everyone hates meth, and support laws that make the average person suffering a cold, guilty until proven innocent for wanting some sudafed in Oregon. Some want government healthcare and thus gov control of their bodies and how they heal themselves. Yet they're pro abortion or pro choice as it were for women's reproductive rights. Its now real convenient that assisted suicide is law in Oregon, government now has a legal excuse for death panels. Some want gay marriage legalized based on equality via the 14th ammendment but they also want "hate crime" and speech laws despite the fact that both of those laws/concepts blatantly violate the 14th and 1st ammendments. The government loves getting income from gambling via lotteries and casinos but they'll ban internet gambling "for the children".

Hell, your fed taxes support corn growers either producing corn or not and then the idiots in legislatures want to tax people for buying cheap soda pop made with corn products because it makes people fat.

I find it interesting that you guys can go from screeching about tyranny, impending marshal law, and the total destruction of America and then your sited example is that you can't get 64 oz soda in NYC. Sure, I'm cherry picking to be a little funny but it just goes to show that you guys really aren't as crazy as you try to appear you just are really, really melodramatic. I find that comforting.

My sheepskin murkin likes this.

I have converted dozens of non-gun supporters by simply taking them shooting in a safe and educational way. Often this was done after introducing their children to firearms (again using proven training protocols in a safe shooting environment).

Winning means focusing our energy on uniting those who support the cause no matter what ideology or background they have.

United we stand, and divided we fall.

Exactly. One thing almost all anti-AR15 people have in common: They've never shot an AR-15.

You still seem to think I'm a Liberal. I'm not.

Then don't promote or defend their platform. Otherwise you're still covered in their bs.

A gilder of lillies. You are also a man that has been defending those with the position of using the force of the government's gun to take from me to give to others.

A gilder of lillies is being quite kind.

Never knew there was one, but got a link of him (or anyone in this thread) defending the "liberal" platform?

I suspect the "liberal platform" is more like "whatever I don't agree with".

But I can hope.
