Several people are saying the same thing. Cruising along and just get logged out or can't connect. Very sporatic.
Then in an edit yesterday the edit box changed color.
We Figured you guys were playing flip the switches out there LOL
Firefox and explorer and cookies on.

Which browser(s) are you using? Are cookies enabled?
I don't know, I've changed nothing, this is windows 8 (explorer 11?maybe)I can barely find my E mail. Yesterday and again today I have had to log on!
For the love of God, don't anyone buy Windows 8 unless your some sort of technoid
But
At work we have a professionally managed system and to my knowledge they have changed nothing, Sunday and again today I had to log on.
I do not believe it is a coincidence.
Also; I've uncookied nothing.

I had similar behavior and blank chat window. Was recommended to use https vs. http and it has cleared up.

If you check the chat logs, you can see when I started experiencing it yesterday Joe.

Thanks Phrank.

It was my understanding that the site could no longer be accessed via HTTP. How were you able to access it?

Not sure Joe, but I don't recall ever updating my link for https which I did yesterday. Just checked on my other machine and it was still linked to the regular http site, but it redirected to the https site which this computer did not do. Both running Win 8.1, Firefox. The URL on this machine yesterday definitely did not have https at the time. I did clear cache earlier in the day, but I also do that 1-2 x per week so nothing new there.

Hope the details help.

That definitely helps, thanks Phrank.

HTTP/HTTPS was my first thought. We setup a permanent redirect from HTTP to HTTPS, but I can see where old links might cause problems. I suppose I ought to send out a notification, telling people to update their bookmarks. It might not be the cause of this, but it's one more thing to rule out while we investigate.

This started for me too the last couple of days, and yes, I had been logging in via https, but now it doesn't show http or https in the address bar, just www.... whereas before it did show https

I use chrome on osx, and cookies are enabled, but all plugins, including JS and Flash are disabled by default.

First time in a long time I've actually had to log in. I did notice it when to the http: instead of https:. When I added that at the front, I stayed logged in, but I've only been on for a couple of minutes.
