I'm reading a couple books on the topic (one is an overview, the other about snub nosed revolvers) and thought I'd toss it out there for discussion: what books did you find helpful on the topic of CCW, self-defense shooting, the laws surrounding said, et al.?

Law of self defense. Andrew Branca. He is a gun owner and lawyer in Massachusetts. The best book I have read about claiming self defense. It also has state specific material too.

  • Facing Violence by Rory Miller
  • Handgun Combatives by Dave Spaulding
  • The Law of Self Defense by Andrew Branca
  • Sentinel: Become the Agent In Charge of your Own Protection Detail by Pat McNamara
Everyone should have a copy of the Law of Self Defense. It's $10 for the e Book. It's a bit dry given the topic but it's probably the best advice out there with respect to how to keep yourself out of jail.
