I found this while looking for M1 Carbines. Thought it would be fun to see if anyone could top this? Lets have a dog fight!

    Collector's Firearms

Who's bright idea was it to make an M1 Carbine sniper? I am sure what its not showing is the five car batteries that would have connected to the very large cable.

What a bummer. Something made in Chicago used against us. I'm assuming it was, anyway.

    It does look rather heavy!

You a reader? Go buy Stephen Hunter's "Black Light". Good read, and Hunter gets the gun stuff right 99%+.

The M1 is EARLY night vision, based on the German 'Vampir" unit in your picture. The Germans were messing with
    it in WWII.

Chuck had a similar setup in Omega Man...

I'm thinking it was Chucks shirt and jacket that was weighing him down.

I know its probably just a non-functional movie prop, but I bet the ACTUAL kit in Chucky's hands is worth a fortune... wonder where it resides today?

I remember watching that as a kid and was amased by that scene (if not the entire movie).

You have not lived until you have plinked zombies from the balcony in a smoking jacket and frilled silk shirt. Pure class! The only other thing he needs is a hot babe in a pink fur-trimmed bikini keeping him supplied with dry martinis during the sport.
