Wasn't Maryland already a lost cause?
Yes. As far as CC and handguns. But people always forget - who and why the folks in rural Maryland (Baltimore is just one big ugly dot in a moderate state...) felt they had to flee Urbania in the first place. Lots of rifle folks there... But this bill - this thing is wicked in the details.

That's not sounding good...going after 'assault' pistols? And specific calibers??? The latter taking a page from some countries, particularly South American were 'military' calibers are banned. The GC is definitely trying to slalom down this slippery slope that we're on.

Any time GC supporters are talking about 'hunting' or trying to limit law abiding gun owners to only certain 'sporting' or similar firearms, they only prove they're not in alignment with the founding principle of the Bill of Rights and the 2A. And pushing their agenda of consolidating power.

And it would be arguable that if after enacting one of these misguided laws they could show some massive reduction in actual, violent crime. But they can't, and unfortunately use that failure as an arguement that they didn't go far ENOUGH (they need MORE restrictions).

VA, AZ, MD...hopefully there's some really good, conservative/Constitutionist court/judge nominations and at some point, there's a SCOTUS ruling that all these infringements are just that...infringements, unconstitutional, and repealed.
