MK319 MOD 0 SOST/T762TNB1 for your AR-10 - 130gr @2850 fps. Bullet design is optimized for barrier penetration without over penetrating soft targets. Ammunition is only slightly heavier than 7.72x39 (+20gr bullet and a short amount of brass case).

Use these in a DPMS GII pattern rifle and you outclass the AR-15 and AK-47 ballistics with very little weight gain. You still have the flexibility of 1,000+ yard accuracy and effective energy using 175 grain OTP match grade ammunition.

Vortex has a 130 gr TSX .308 bullet available too. And they are now producing loaded 308 ammo using it. Just look at the incredible performance that this round did in ballistic gelatin, producing an insane 37 inches of penetration, while still delivering awesome wound channels.

This is quite an amazing video to watch. And this was only out of only a 16 inch barrel.

This is certainly hitting a heck of a lot harder, and with far more penetration, than any 5.56mm/.223 ammo could possibly produce.

You will be amazed to see what this round does to these blocks of ballistic gelatin. Just look at the massive size of the cavity stretch in the first block in this frame from the video. The bullet actually exited the 2nd block in this shot, so the tester ended up having to add a 3rd block of gelatin for another shot to get a penetration number.
