If it's just as shoddily built, and they play the shortage game like usual, it should be popular.
My PMR-30 is a top notch, I love it!

Kel-Tec eh? Yeah, that's worth getting excited about.
Reminds me what people were saying about Glock 30+ years ago. :)
Kel-Tec is the ONLY gun maker that is not afraid of innovations.
All others are just running in circles: year by year they just make another copycat of 1911 or Hi Power or Glock.

Kel-Tec was established in 1991.

Just 5 years later.

Kel-Tec still makes lots of unreliable junk. The same cannot be said for Glock.

So how much longer does Kel-Tec need to make quality firearms?

Including me! :D

Kel-Tec started as an average CNC machine shop. Their first firearm - P11, - was produced in 1995.
My PMR-30 gen.2, RDB-17 and SUB-2000 gen.2 are 100% reliable.
Remember, Glock was first wildly available pistol with polymer frame on a market.
It's all about to be in the right place at the right time.

P.S.: How long it will take for Sig to fix all P365 bugs?

FWIW: Interestingly enough, the same happened to me with my Keltec, albeit another model.

Up until they sheared the slide stop pins, the two PF-9's I owned were 100% reliable... They fixed them but then one of them did it again less than one hundred rounds later. Bad batch of parts? Bad QC? Poor engineering? Whatever the case, the name Kel-tec has made me cringe ever since.

I wish you all better luck with yours.

Keltec guy got the golden bullseye this year. If he didn't invent the artificial "shortage" to drive demand, he surely perfected the art with his company's guns...
