Keltec guy got the golden bullseye this year. If he didn't invent the artificial "shortage" to drive demand, he surely perfected the art with his company's guns...
I get the point and all, but... do you know why it's such a common complaint that KT items are out of stock/hard to get? The demand is insane, and they produce a whole lot more than most people seem to realize. According to the ATF FFL manufacturer reports, KT's production numbers are some of the very highest in the nation for shotguns and pistols, and they're no slouch in the rifle category either.
In 2016 (the most recent year with a complete Annual Firearms Manufacturing and Export Report available), Kel Tec produced 57,802 pistols, 10,003 rifles, and 29,329 shotguns. As an example, only Remington and Maverick made more shotguns. Kel Tec produced more than Beretta.

Do you notice abnormal amounts of brass chips with yours? The one I shot today was full if them. I suggested to the owner to check that the firing pin wasn't gooped with grease or lube. Kept getting light strikes.
I have noticed brass chips as well (Note: please see my next post).
No light strikes though. But I shoot only 40 grain CCI or Federal, although I have a Red Dot on it which makes slide heavier.
