s&w revolver
The .38 S&W, also commonly known as .38 S&W Short, or 9×20mmR is a revolver cartridge developed by Smith & Wesson in 1877. Versions of the cartridge were the standard revolver cartridges of the British military from 1922 to 1963. Though similar in name, it is not interchangeable with the later .38 Smith & Wesson Special due to a different case shape and slightly larger bullet diameter.

This revolver was made before 1898 and is not considered a firearm.
This American Arms Boston, 38 S&W revolver is similar to the Smith & Wesson lemon squeezer design.

The gun is in great shape and appears to be in...
I'm passing along some information about possible rounds not going off in certain new S&W revolvers. I was unaware of such a problem, but an article over on revolverguy.com about the UC Ti revolvers brought it out.

I have a model 625 that Tim was working on when he got sick. I put cylinder back together, but it now has a timing problem such that cylinder locks its rotation, but hammer will not fully cock back to sear catch.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated on what’s wrong or who a good smith...
Safe Queen, Only shot around 50 round through her. But I did get her from another person so total rounds I'm not sure.
Its a shame, I wanted to keep her but need to pay off some debts, I placed another grip on her, so it has an pinky extender.
I can meet anywhere in the Portland Metro Area...
I was gifted a revolver recently. That's a story of it's own as I posted in General Firearm Discussion. I'm trying to figure out the model and date of manufacture. It's the only S&W I own and I know little about them.
It has the S&W badge on the right side plate, instead of under the cylinder...

Anyone in my area? Looking to rebarrel to a clark, install a rib and underlug too. I just don't have access to the tools anymore or i would do it myself. Been wanting a ppc revolver for some time and finally got a good candidate for the conversion.
I have gotten some great advice on this forum, so here we go again ...
A few years back I picked up a very nice Ruger GP100, Standard Model 1715 w/ a 3" bbl. It's a great revolver, well-built and reliable. However, sight upgrades are hard to come by without extensive and costly customization...
