The LCP max is ungodly to shoot next to the 2.0, as a pocket pistol, the bodyguard shoots the best compared to anything close to its size
I can believe that. I think after seeing so many youtube videos praising it I was expecting a better experience with the 2.0. I can't imagine the LCP. Well, I can... and it isn't good.

It's a gradient. Compared to the class of single stack pocket .380's (Kel-Tec P3AT, standard LCP), the LCP Max is quite shootable, thanks to its much better trigger, better sights, and slightly larger grip.
I've heard the original LCP was horrible and the LCP Max (along with a couple of other variations leading to it) weren't nearly as bad. That's why I was considering the LCP Max. I would probably have to shoot one myself before ruling it out completely.

No doubt the P3AT is a snappy little bugger to shoot. It's not an issue for me, but for a smaller less experienced person it's not a great choice. My daughter turned 21 15 years ago and we bought her a Taurus TCP cuz she wanted something like it. While we didn't have the choices in smaller guns then like we do now, I wish I had been a little better informed. We surely could have picked a better pistol for her. :(

There's one that might make a dandy "going for a walk gun" that I've got saved on ye olde Gunbroker list — Cimarron Thunderer convertable .45 LC / .45 ACP with 3½" barrel and walnut grips. (The automatic cartridge is the only one I care about, but having a .45LC cylinder isn't a bad thing.) Price is reasonable.

Anyone have one of these and, if so, how do you like it?

I carry a rifle when I walk to my mailbox. But also I live in the woods the mailbox is 3/4 a mile from the house. Lol.

I prefer the LCP Max over the Bodyguard 2.0. Heck, I prefer the Bodyguard 1.0 over the 2.0

As for a walk about, it changes. I like my Colt New Army 32-20. I also carry my Security Six in .357. Or my old Double Nine with the .22mag cylinder installed if I am looking for Grouse. Maybe others at times also. I do like my H&R Survivor in 12ga or my M24 in 30-30 over 20ga as walk abouts.

I carry the same thing every day: Model 10-2 in a home-sewn leather holster. I have a Model 28 with bear loads in a left handed Diamond D chest rig if I am not just running around. I own a Sig 229, a CZ, and a P64 I used to carry off-duty, among others, but I am a big revolver fan.

I have a Double Nine, too! It was the first handgun I ever shot, and belonged to my grandmother. She willed it to me, but my mom had misplaced it. I finally found it this summer. It is super accurate!!

I've actually been kicking around the idea of getting a LCP variant to carry in my back pocket. As a secondary gun. I need to go put hands on one though just to verify.

Back in the 80's I had one in a nice, black western holster/belt. I didn't have the Magnum cylinder, but I kinda wish I'd held onto it. Young n broke, losta stuff got sold to play with the next toy.

Yeah unfortunately how easy that class of gun is to carry made it a first choice for a lot of people just getting into concealed carry even though they're actually not easy or pleasant to shoot, especially for beginners. I wasn't quite so uninitiated, but even still, switching to the LCP Max was a huge upgrade.

I think Bi-Mart wants us both to own one. I just got an email for an "online only" sale where the LCP Max is $199.99. Kinda hard to get hurt much at that price.

I got a $200 gift card from work that I need to spend. That may be the perfect excuse.
I'm not sure how long that price is good for. It does say "web price only" and "must be purchased online". Heck, it looks like their regular price is only $20 more.

Yea I'll just go in and check it out first. I don't care about trigger pull/etc. it will literally just sit in my back pocket. I'll still carry my G19 along with it. Haha.

How in the world can you prefer either of those pistols to the 2.0? I'm not saying the 2.0 is the best wonder 380 in the whole world. But it seems a bit better than both of those you mentioned

Different strokes for different folks. That's why there are 5 million different handguns on the market these days.

I would say, for someone like 1775usmc, this would be a backup gun and the BG2.0 is 2x more expensive than the LCP MAX.
