Yup. I want something dirt cheap and thin. Only to mimic a wallet that I could pull out instead of the wallet if needed.

Something along these lines.

The upside of the LCP is you can get the #1 or #2 (sometimes the max) cheap used, there's a large aftermarket for parts, holsters, etc. I just think the reality is they are not much fun to shoot (especially LCP 1 and 2). The there's a fun YouTube video where a guy shoots the LCP II in 380 and then in 22lr and he's so much faster and more accurate with the 22lr it really makes him question owning the 380 model.

Even new they are only like $200. It would only be used in scenarios within arms reach. In a situation I could not go direct to appendix carry. Something where I need to be discreet/surprise.

How in the world can you prefer either of those pistols to the 2.0? I'm not saying the 2.0 is the best wonder 380 in the whole world. But it seems a bit better than both of those you mentioned
Because I like a handgun that goes bang when you pull the trigger, and has sights that are at least sorta on target. This 2.0 does neither of the above out of the box.

I have a new B.G. 2.0 comp, it is plenty accurate at 7-10 yards, so far there have been zero problems. I wont own a gun that I don't like the looks of and the LCP'S fall into that category. Different strokes.

I picked up this one on bit of a lark, though with some idea it might make a "going for a walk" gun. It is a Smith & Wesson 31—1, which a diminutive six-shot in .32 S&W Long:

Wife made positive comments about little DAO revolver in original post. The two are similar in size and use same holsters:

So a second, classic, version seemed neat and might make a pair of light, but surprisingly accurate, revolvers for walks and day hikes together. :s0155:

Some of the early guns front sights were off, just needed to drift it straight. But how does it not go bang?
I have tried a few different rounds and many do not fire. They all fire just fine with my other .380 handguns. Just can't trust it when I need it, so I don't like it. I could probably send it back to S&W, but that is such a pain for me with my work schedule and proximity to shipping locations. I have other handguns to carry, so this will sit in the safe, very much unloved.

One of those simple pleasures of life is going for a vigorous walk, day hike, or even bicycling. In recent memory I've been enjoying doing so for cardiovascular exercise, but also times of solitude. Such outings are good for the body and soul, but, like so many activities, going armed is necessary. I've found light, simple carry pieces are just the ticket.

What handguns do you carry when going on such excursions? Any particular loadings? Is your chief concern hostile wildlife, two-legged varmints, or some combination of both?

Thanks for sharing. ☺️

To answer my own question, this summer, I've been mainly carrying one of these three in a leather holster for the given model:

Top to bottom: S&W 632 UC in .32 H&R Magnum. Walther PPK/S in .380 ACP / 9㎜ Corto. S&W 325PD in .45 ACP / .45 Auto Rim. (Of the three, the forty-five has had the most use. Large caliber and I really like the moon-clip feeding mechanism. The one in thirty-two is pretty new; it is so light, it is like it is not even there when carrying.)
Those look like awesome guns!!

Interesting, sounds like you got a lemon. Mine eats everything I feed it
