Nice fish and ride. I spent a few hours last Thursday on the bank. Only thing caught was a few hours of quiet enjoyment.
So true!!Back in the day one could not help but pull in at least a few each trip out...
Now we are lucky just to see a fish in a magazine or on a forum....![]()
I used to know a hole or three on the Puyallup!
slave hands!!! get them from hanging too much drywall!!!You have really big hands! LoL
LoL we're all slaves until they put us out to pasture!
So did I Art, might have fished next to ya a time or two. Does McMillin, Alderton or below the Carbon ring any bells?![]()
My favorite stretch of the Puy. Can't forget the Carbon itself, used to be able to pull a few out of there every year.

True that on the Carbon. Years ago about a mile or two below the mouth was curve with lots of holes & gravel bars that held fish. Around the early 90's WDFW granted a gravel extraction to a big rock Corp (connected to a land development Corp) and they took out all the holes & gravel bars & made it like a canal, straight as the eye can see!!!![]()
There are a places along that stretch are starting to come back into fish holding shape. A lot of good that it does as there are no steelies to use those spots.
