This whole thread is the classic example of how the use of certain words to get certain responses.

The word "servant" was used and there were a couple different perceptions. The defined word is:

[sur-vuh nt]
noun
1.
a person employed by another, especially toperform domestic duties.
2.
a person in the service of another.
3.
a person employed by the government:
a public servant.

So the term as used is accurate in context. But one person disputes that classic definition because it does not fit their perception of what the word means. They then attempt to convince the other person that they do not fit that description, and offer their own supporting opinions as to why their position is right and the others is wrong. We call these pissing contests.

One person takes the definition of a word completely literally, while is being used in a general context by others, and it becomes the basis for further futile some what amusing arguments.

The fact that a horribly written satire article that is likely over 30 years old can become the basis for such disagreement based upon use of the words servant, and anothers discredit because of a couple of f bombs ( ever been to a middle school lately ? ) shows how individual perceptions can be influenced simply by words alone.

We need to set up some Monty Phyton rooms for this stuff.

Reel to reels were the solution to having non stop classic rock music at parties without having to constantly change the album, mix up the selections and keep some stoned drunk from screwing with the turntable and hammering the needle and abums.

That may be true but I was talking about Subic bay and the memories made there. :)
