I get the Aim Surplus e mail and they've got some CZ 50s for $299.00 They look to be in pretty good condition with just god honest wear, no rust or pitting mentioned. Haven't bought a gun in a long while and thinking a good old steel, Eastern Block manufacture gun would be cool. Ammo isn't' too expensive and is available on-line. I like the single/double action w/decocker for a kick around carry gun. What says the trust here?

I'd have no problem with a CZ. They've always made fine firearms. I just don't need yet another caliber in my ammo stash... I will probably pick up a CZ82 in Makarov when I come across one, as I already have that for my Radom P64.

I am intrigued by the surplus CZ-50's, and also the CZ-82 in .32acp, too.

I jumped into .32 ACP because I am interested in the 20th century European history of pistols that use it. I decided I needed to learn to reload for it, if I was going to be able to enjoy ($) shooting them.

My brother has one like it but a model 70. They are very much alike the model 50. Looks a little bit like a Walther PPK. Reliable, stout (all steel) and can handle the hotter pressure European spec loads (stuff I wouldn't recommend shooting out of Kel Tec's or Beretta Tomcat). Nine plus one capacity isn't bad either. I loaded a powder coated 78gr. Hard cast over 2.6grs. of Red Dot trucking north of 950 fps.
Yeah, it's no 9mm but nothing to sneeze at and better than a knife, batton or chucking rocks.
