You don't see the originals often so the price is whatever someone will pay for one at the time.

I bought an original for $300 about 3 years ago in great condition and haven't seen another since (locally).

I just found one for sale in Iowa for $450.00 and it's not as nice as yours.

FWIW blue book of gun values list an original wolverine in 95% condition at $575. 90% at $495.
