Anyways back to seriousness ..... its rather alarming how much stock people put into whatever propagandic garbage that Discovery/Animal Planet/History network attempts to paint as "scientific/relevant" >___> other than Shark Week which is always interesting... although the recent ones seems to be going political propaganda already on some segments :(

Alone is interesting, if a bit.. over the top in terms of personal drama, at least as much as a single person can do

Finished up a binge of Elfen Lied anime... so.. weird. So violent and bloody

The three TV series I miss the most are, Sharps, The Unit and Justified.

In one of the last episodes of, The Unit, the black team leader is asked by his wife
to quit the team and his response is, "What do you want me to do, sell insurance?"

Guess what...A few weeks later he is staring in a All State advertisement on TV.
I have to chuckle every time I see that ad. His having been chosen for the spot must
have been an insider's joke in the industry. *Life mirroring Fiction.

Guns and Ammo, Shooting USA, American Rifleman TV show, Cooking shows in general, though I had to quick watching 'chopped' as it kept featuring weirdos and said weirdos had to keep telling their sad sack stories of mistreatment, Live PD and it's spinoffs, love to see bad people get arrested and put away and how incredibly patient most LEO's are with these maggots...ah, to name a few.

Street LEO's don't make nearly enough money for the garbage they have to put up with and encounter...

On Live PD, I am surprised at how many dirtbags get tazed who shrug it off like it's no more a bother than a mosquito bite, wth?

Instead of a semi-ineffectual tazer, a handheld bean bag device seems an idea worth pursuing. Pretty hard to shake off a hit by one of those things.

Hey, I can dream can't I?

Been watching "Our Girl" on Amazon. It's about a young British girl who joins their army as a combat medic. Finished season one and working on season 2. Season one was really good. Season two the main girl went on to some other British show so they replaced her with a prettier tanner girl and are continuing the story. It's nice seeing another country's perspective on the world of military.

Uhhmmm, let's see... PornHub, xxnx, Xvideos, PornMD, etc.

Oh, regular stuff... ok,

Can't stand broadcast tv, but the wife insists on watching the news. I always get pissed off and leave the room after yelling foul words at the anchors on NBC, which she turns on because it's the Boise channel. She also likes the Justice channel but the commercials are insanely annoying! 5 min of show and 10 min of commercials about face goop, zit popping, and join this lawsuit or that one... Oy Vey!!!

YouTube: LivePD, Tucker Carlson, The Five (please fire Juan), Laura Ingraham, and various documentary or nature stuff. A few free movies, they have John Wayne! It was fun to watch The Arrival again, a time when Charlie Sheen wasn't such a dick.

Had Hulu, went back to Netflix when Hulu cut off the streaming for Sony Bluray devices. Currently working our way thru NCIS, the last few seasons of Criminal Minds, and starting Longmire at the beginning again (it's all new to the wife since she has lost 90% of her memories :(). Just finished Legacies. Stalled out on Wynnona Earp. Thinking about restarting Person of Interest. Stalled out on The Mist and Chronicles of Shannara, and Glitch. Finished up ZNation. Thinking about restarting Hell on Wheels and maybe Nikita. The latest season of Arrow and Quantico, and maybe Flash.

ExMachina is in my list... is it worth watching?

Sex and intrigue? (Bonus points for sins.) Now you got me firing on all cylinders. I'm hip to this kindly tip. :D
You will find that the people you think are bad guys have stories of their own that make some of them also heroic. There are one or two characters that you find yourself rooting against, then for, then against once again. These characters are not 2 dimensional. Also, keep in mind that a two word synopsis of this story is "Everybody dies" (Valor Morgulis).

MA anime since it's just me all weekend.

Let the ribbing start in 3...2...1...:D

What can I say, I grew up overseas with them:p

will probably start on the new episodes of Meat Eater as well.

I think I speak for all who have seen it, probably the best series EVER!

Not me. I thought it was awful. Really weak plot and storyline with over the top amounts of T&A and gore to keep you from realizing it.

I think I made it through 4ish seasons and they got progressively worse IMO.

It reminded me of the soap operas my mom used to watch when I as a kid. With boobies and dragons.

The camera is there. There is that. When the camera is not there things are a lot different, and rightly so. The police are to be commended for using the ineffective but approved take down and control methods. People resist more now than in my EMT days , when that kind of behavior got you punched in the nuts a few times.

I have seen a guy take three of those bean bags, 2 to the groin and one to the chest and swat at them like flies. The hockey pucks that California Corrections uses ( or used) are a lot more effective. My bro in law used them at Pelican Bay, and one of those to the groin brings the worst prisoner to his knees and full compliance.

What'cha watchin'?

Ten million dollars worth of equipment and machinery processing American-manufactured, heavy wide flange columns.

On a Saturday night? Bet you're sweet as.

I don't have time to watch the telly, when I do, it's typically films and series produced with names like Carey Grant and Bella lugosi etc.

I'm just now watching the most excellent cooking show, "Salt Fat Acid Heat' hosted by Samin Nosrat.

Her cooking tips are easily digestible, that is to say simple and great, not Martha Stewart flowery bs, plus she's very likable.

Also "Avec Eric" another terrific cooking show with Eric Ripert. His French accented English reminds me (somehow of Jacques-Yves Cousteau). His show is more of a cooking travelogue than a cooking show, well so is Samin's, which is part of the appeal of both shows along with all the great cooking.

CoastR,

Thanks for the heads up on the beanbags. I thought them at least a tad more effective than tzs.

As for when the camera is not in evidence, I hope LEO's don't tolerate as much nonsense from low life street thugs as they would have us believe.

Treating them like delicate flowers seems like encouragement keeping them non-compliant.

Plus, I love it when some smart mouth twenty something starts in doing the street lawyer thing, telling the LEO the law and their rights and blah, blah, blah only to find themselves cuffed and stuffed.

And I especially love it when some self declared, bogus, sovereign citizen starts in on how they don't have to have a driver's license and can't be arrested except by a sheriff...it's hilarious how that line doesn't ever seem to work out for them.

Ah, good times!
