That being said if you pay attention to current events you will have noticed that Colorado had 2 Bloom berg supported politicians recalled because of people from Ohio. I was until last year, a continuing supporter of GOAL in Mass., where I lived for 8 years before moving back to WA. My lousy $35 a year probably didn't help, but I felt better doing it. But I also know that 90% of Mbubblegums LOVE gun control. And that's not going to change in my lifetime. I certainly stopped writing letters to politicians when I moved because IT'S THEIR STATE.

Look, if the federal courts aren't going to back us on what I see as a human rights and constitutional issue, that leaves the matter up to the states. You know, the way the framers saw it. (Remember, constitutional protections didn't apply to the states until after the Civil War).

If the liberals in California want gun control, it's not really my business to tell them they can't have it. It's up to them. And they have spoken on this issue repeatedly. they LOVE their gun control. The crazier the better.

The only effective way we could do anything would be to help fund court challenges in federal court. THAT, I would happily contribute to (and do).

On the other hand, how would you feel if the California Brady Bunch started bombarding OUR legislators for more gun control? Would you want your state representatives to pay them ANY attention? They don't even live here. Leave us the Hell alone right?

It works both ways. And if you think for one second that a California legislator gives a tinker's damn what someone from WA says in a letter, you need to get off the crack pipe. They don't. And they shouldn't. They don't work for us, they work for the people of California. -Who are getting just what they want for the most part.

Just keep the letters and calls going to Brown, they have no way to know where they come from. Their systems are tied up from letters and calls from all over the nation.
It affects much more than just California in the end. Burn up their comm lines from all directions. Don't let anyone discourage you, it is working.

Las Californias has done this to itself. I'm sorry, but people that keep folks like Feinstein in power for over 30 years obviously want the infringement. Personally, I'm more into fighting for those that will actually fight for themselves, not those that want their Socialist State government to do it all for them. They do in fact reap what they sew.

I agree with this assessment. I can't count the number of people, perhaps including some on this forum, who repeatedly vote for the same jerks that keep voting for disarmament measures as soon as they are back in their cushy offices after each election.

I have absolutely NO sympathy for such people, primarily because it happens even after they're advised to vote for the "other" guys or gals.

The tired excuses for re-electing people who hurt them:

Umm, no. I am saying that if CA's "pro gun people"(both of them) really want to do something, they do in fact need to get out of CA. Again, I will not let them chip away a little at a time, but I also won't use a place where EVERYTHING has already been chipped away as an example. I have rights to defend and Californian's cannot help m with that, as I cannot help them.

And no, I am not in line with the "anti's divide and conquer". Had you been paying attention, I am for defending my state. The only way they "divide and conquer" is if we let them to do OR and WA what they did to CA. The damage in CA is done. Comparing it to damage that we are preventing in OR mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. When a places liberal virtues trump their individual rights and their means of defending themselves, they are in fact a lost cause and they are so because of the laws and the people they voted in for 2 lifetimes now.

Isn't anyone on this thread tired of pretending that we can change a bunch of people in CA that aren't even listening? They went their route, we went ours. Do you think CA would do ANYTHING for us if the shoe was on the other foot? As far as CA is concerned, we are here to pump our water and electricity to them FOR FREE. Oh, OK. We are still talking about a place where it is illegal to pass out copies of The Constitution on Constitution Day at a Community College? Yeah, get in line to "help" them, while 90% look at you like you are insane for butting into their BS and they keep the oppressor's in power.

There is nothing better for the anti's than to be able to loot your chicken coop while you were looking at the neighbor's dead chickens and egg shells and patting him on the back offering your condolences. Those people that keep Darrel Issa in power are good folks, I don't disagree with that. Like it or not, "good folks" eventually need to regroup with their side once the lines are drawn and they find themselves behind enemy lines. If you don't see that the lines are drawn and that the CA border IS that line, well, you are the ones falling into the anti's trap, leaving all your healthy, floating ships unmanned to go try to scrape ashes off the ocean floor.

I think I have pretty much exhausted the reasons why people get what they deserve and more importantly, what they ask for. They asked for it by keeping disgusting people in power for longer than my lifetime. I will gladly throw in more analogies, but we are officially repeating ourselves.

I'm not sure how we can be having this conversation. Shouldn't everyone be trying to still save North Korea from Communism? Or is that where we draw the line and admit that we can't help people who don't even know they need help?
