Las Californias has done this to itself. I'm sorry, but people that keep folks like Feinstein in power for over 30 years obviously want the infringement. Personally, I'm more into fighting for those that will actually fight for themselves, not those that want their Socialist State government to do it all for them. They do in fact reap what they sew.

Haha, only prevent people from leaving, I don't mind if the libtards move to Cali as long as they don't move North to Oregon!

Absolutely. Let the sheep go home to their Mecca. We will also need to eventually force the ones swarming Medford back, so we need one-way doors in that wall.

solv3nt, after all we've been through, you change your avatar just like that? As if it meant nothing to you all this time? Man, this hurts.

Who are you referring to? You say this like you're talking to all those gun owners who have been fighting this since the beginning. The call is to help the oppressed minority down there who can't do it alone. "Y'all did this to yourselves," just doesn't apply here. You'd be talking to those who have been pro-gun-control, and they're not asking for your help, nor regretting their decisions. If you think you're talking to the fighting minority down there, then you're just plain wrong- they can only do what they can do. Do you think the fighting minority has been voting for Feinstein?

The above is either a cop-out sentiment you're using to morally liberate yourself from having to help, or nothing more than self-indulgent condescension.

I vote to build a TALL fence around the border of Cali & not let anyone in or out. It's what they deserve for their stupidity!!!!

How's this for improvisation?

Diane Feinstein dies of a massive heart attack at the exact same moment as Wayne LaPierre. They get to the Pearly Gates and St. Peter says to them, "For your service to your respective people that you represented on Earth, I will give you each one wish for Humanity."
Then, to Feinstein, he says "You may go first." Feinstein gives it serious thought and says, "Well, I spent my life ridding California of the horrors of firearms and individual rights, making it the wonderful place it is today. To preserve it, I want a wall surrounding California to be built to the sky so that no one may enter and no one may leave."

Granting Feinstein's wish, St. Peter turns to LaPierre, who without hesitation replies "Fill it with water."

Good try. The decent people that are in the minority left California a LONG time ago. There will always be the majority there keeping the Feinstein's in power. That is why we have the freedom to move from state to state. If one state's policies don't fit your belief's or standard's, you can move to, say, Texas.

With all that is being done to remove rights of people in free states, taking our eyes off of that ball to "help" a lost cause like California is futile. You can go ahead and throw New York into that heap of trash as well. Of course there are good people in both states that aren't Communist. They are in occupied territory, like it or not.

BB,
You're an interesting anomaly... You think that anybody that open carries has mental problems, but you don't view living in Cali. the same?

Then enjoy your futile fight. I'll be here, not wasting time on a lost cause.

But hey, don't think for one second that I'm not for the plight of the California Gun Owner(nearly as rare as the Condor), I am. Unfortunately, I have lived a real life and can only view things realistically, not with hopes and dreams that will never be realized. It's like trying to save North Korans from Communism. A futile attempt while those that can still be saved slip into situations like the one in Colorado that corrected itself.

I truly enjoyed writing that letter.
I believe the Governors tan will be a bit crispier now. Hope others voice their opinion as well.
With those laws Kalifornicatia cannot even be considered part of the United States any longer.
Firearms laws are less restrictive in Communist China.
Please take the time to write. It will do wonders for your peace of mind to vent on the New Beijing's Governor. Then consider the border to Kalifornicatia the new Berlin Wall.

Coming to Multnomah County very soon I betcha.

Y'know, I am going to write the letter. It will only take a few minutes and costs neither myself or the defense of my own state a dime.

But let me ask this and I am asking it seriously. How many American's would have to write a Feinstein, Boxer or Brown to get them to see the light? Does anyone here think that if literally EVERY American told them they were wrong that they would change their tune? Why does anyone think that politicians do ANYTHING based on what the American people want or based on what is best for America? Is that why they all pass laws and other BS that helps a handful of people while the other 299,995,000 of us pay for it?

It's a sham, fella's. Our parents bit the bait. We should all know better.

I hate to sound defeatist but California is a lost cause and guns rights are only one symptom of a moral and social decline that will only get worse. I gave money to the Colorado recall effort, wrote and called our local legislators in Oregon's fight. I say let the great social, liberal experiment that is the charlie fox of California continue on - it is giving us tangible, empirical evidence of what a failure the progressive agenda is. I only wish the O supporters on this site and in all of the Pacific Northwest would put their money where their mouth is and move on down to paradise if it is so flipping great.

Nope. We'd have a better chance at persuading Ben Beckerich that the majority of the open carriers are on our side. But I don't think that will happen anytime soon. Maybe if all the open carriers would PM him he might change his mind? :s0084:
