Oregon Tea Party members are taking a pledge of nonviolence for Friday afternoon’s Portland-area tax day rallies.

Party officials said they feared “union supporters” might try to stir up trouble at the rallies in Pioneer Courthouse Square and in other parts of the city on the day federal income taxes are traditionally due.

Those concerns were clearly unfounded because the progressive protesters who showed up were the epitome of decorum. Oh, wait. Then there is this video.

I talked to, or tried to talk to, several of these zombies and found most are proud communist or muslims. Both want America dead, plain and simple. there were no discussions about anything, just F you. Death to America, and so on. I cornered one in our crowd trying to get backstage to do whatever, but the climax was when one came front and center stage and when asked to leave, decided he was going to hit a member of the tea party. After the police came running, the crowd got off him and he was hauled away. Its sad we can't have political discourse w/out it turning violent. Seiu was there and the guy in the White dress is a regular with his "kill Israel" signs and whitey go home bs. This was advertised as a family friendly event and children were there exposed to this new America. Going to downtown portland is a real eye opener for the average person. Its a collection of junkies, stoners, and bums, who piss and crap on the sidewalks because they are allowed to. Political correctness at its finest.

I realize that this will be a vain effort, but I'd like to point out that those doot-brains represent nobody but themselves. They are a miniscule faction of the "Left" all to themselves, and respected by nobody. I am quite confident that they would say anything to get the goat of any "tea-ster" trying to interview them. If you don't like Communists and Muslims, then that is what they will say they are. No "left" party or Muslim mosque would have anything to do with creeps like this. I am quite sure that they are NEITHER. There is a Portland clique of "street people" that all wear black and call themselves "Anarchists" but I am sure that they would have trouble defining whatever that means. They get quite grouchy when they run out of heroin.

I am a Portland "Leftist" but those scum have nothing to do with me or anybody that I associate with, any more than the Ku Klux Klan represents "Conservatives." They are a lunatic fringe without support, and their only effect is ugly noise and deliberate impoliteness because they cannot formulate a political argument. I left my "street" activism behind decades ago, mostly because I was in great peril of going to prison for slaughtering such "street people" who abuse MY flag! Free speech? I don't care, step on MY flag in front of me and you will be HURT!

I would say they represent the left pretty well.. they are just it's most extreme and vocal arm but what they represent in policy is exactly what the left represents.. the destruction of the Old Republic and the institution of hard core Socialism. IE gun bans, confiscatory taxes, welfare state and massive, intrusive government stealing the last of our liberties

I can only speak for myself but I'm ready to take it to the streets to restore the Republic and I don't see these tooth fairies being any real impediment to that if we get off our duffs

But I will pose the question, when was the last battle fought to protect America's freedom of speech? Was it in Iraq? Afghanistan? Grenada? Vietnam? Korea? At least we were formally at war in WWII, but were our Constitutional rights actually threatened?

Realistically, the military would be the final word in silencing dissent, should we ever step outside the bounds of our pre-planned, pre-approved, police-escorted area of protest... for which we would have to apply for a permit to inhabit for a specific period of time that we wish to exercise our 1st amendment right.

Dont think so?

Go out and protest against Ol'Bama and when the Police tell you to disperse... give them the finger and see how long it takes for the National Guard to show up.


Like I said, not trying to start anything... just trying to make y'all think.
