There's not much of a good part to this story, but the father did manage to pull his own firearm and shoot and kill the robber when fleeing.

wow, what a sad story. i feel bad for that family. the only upside(i guess) is the family can live knowing that piece of pond scum is dead. i dont even want to imagine my family without me. especially that way.

You know the older ai get and now with kids the word senseless becomes more of a reality and the true pointless nature of someone losing their life is just tragic and dumbfounding.
