If you look closely you'll see the entrance just below the ear. This was a big 'ol male.

I have both, I prefer the 17. I can make hits with it far past the .22. Ammo is cheaper, I get it, but the versatility of the 17 far outweighs the cost.

The nute would have been safe from us at 150 with the .22.

I wish they would offer one in 22wmr. I would be all over that. Holding out for the 22lr version to be a supressor hoast and quietly dislodge the nutria population from my moms property with neighbors around. The 17hmr would be cool though..
 
I've kilt nutes with both 22 and 17 and I can tell you the 17 is devastating. Usually with a body hit they can still make it to the creek, but the 17 puts them down right now. But come to think of it, you might want them to make it to cover so the neighbors don't see.
