I'll be one that will defend the 26 and 27. I own a couple of each and they do have a subordinate but viable role in a SD lineup, but I'm having a hard time coming up with any justification for the 28.

I mean... it appears to be the same size, shape and capacity as the 26 and the weight savings it's only marginal at best. The drop in ballistic capability is highly significant though. While I do own a couple .380's.... I'm just not seeing what gap the 28 would fill.

On the freedom seed question I have to agree with others. FMJ is typically the best option in a .380. Not that I've tried all the HP's on the market for that caliber, but about the only ones I've used personally that somewhat perform as advertised are the hornady CD's out of a walther PPK/S. Out of a pony or mustang though... they don't do diddly.
