I have a 15 yr. old Taurus PT609 Pro Titanium
It's got an awesome trigger and I just love it to death and use it as one of my primary EDCs.
Unfortunately my eyesight is starting to suck at finding my sight picture with irons and I would really like to put a red dot optic , preferably a Holosun 507K on it
I just don't know if the slide can be cut because there are a couple of pins that show on the top of the slide and I don't know what they're for or if they can be milled down along with the slide.
Does ANYBODY know about this gun and have knowledge of whether the slide can be cut???? Thx. for any input.

Are the rear sights a dovetail?

There are dovetail RMR mounts that might be a better option than cutting.

I don't think you will find an exact mounting plate. If dovetailed, a dovetail mount might work. Just Google it, there are many to choose from.

Looks like UTG, Lepers, and Outer Impact are the main adapter plate suppliers. Outer Impact is in Idaho and may be your best option. Since they're an actual machine shop, might give them a call to see what they can do. You might want to look at replacement rear sights and cross reference the ones that fit your gun to see what other guns they fit. There's a good chance the plate for that gun might fit yours.
