Not a bad weekend. Opening morning, buck hanging. Evening hunt, another buck hanging. This morning, two more bucks hanging. My boy joined me for the first time in seven years, his buck was bigger than mine!

I'll be cutting meat Wednesday. Gonna be a challenge finding room in the freezer for two bucks plus the cow elk and salmon that's already there.

Good thing they're just small forkies. Alfalfa-fed, they eat like veal.

All four. Closest shot was 350 yards, farthest was 430 yards.

The boys can shoot. My son made a neck shot at 375. Really tall grass. Steady rest, buck didn't know we were there. Breathe in, out, in, halfway out, hold it, boom. I was watching through my 10X Swarovskis, it was an impressive impact.
