Simple and easy innovation. A bit cumbersome to pack around, but totally makes sense to help people from freezing to death.
Didn't click but you'd think trust fund kids would do better for clicks but that's just me.
Styrofoam actually makes for an amazing insulation material.... it's just that constant "squeaking" noise it makes when handling it that turns me into an agent for evil.
Adding the reflective material is the biggest payback for retaining heat. Instead of being absorbed by the adjacent material, it reflect the emitted heat backwards. Columbia Sportswear does this with their coats/hats and boots now.Styrofoam actually makes for an amazing insulation material....

Cool idea. I am not big on the way he is promoting it, hand them out to "homeless" as I could see how that would go here. Pass them out and soon there would me mountains of them trashed out and left for others to clean up. The idea is a cool way to make an emergency shelter though.
Of course it works. After all, private property and means of production belongs to the Socialist State right?Think socialism may have contributed to there being so many homeless in France?
Hey, socialism works...to create homeless people in abundance.
I have for some time wished for an inexpensive lightweight 'personal shelter' that was warm and waterproof.
Not sure what styrofoam they used that was bendable like that, but should SHTF, these would maybe be good temporary shelters.
