Got out to a Steel Challenge with my Mosin Nagant that I've posted in here before.... Targets were from 230 to 1250yds. The Nagant proved it's got what it takes. The match was semi-informal about 15 guys who are signed up for Findlay Cup, WCT Steel Challenge, and Oregon Sniper Match got together for a practice match. Here's some pics you guys may enjoy...
My Nagant cooling off...
Competitior rings steel at 1250 with a custom 7wsm
Spotter and Shooter engaging (I think it was about 8") target at 420yds
Shooter uses the "minute master" to range a target with the reticle
A buddies Rem 700/AICS in 260 next to my Nagant in 260 while another shooter engages at 550 UKD target with a 6x47 Lapua (115gr DTAC @ 3090fps)
A little position shooting mixed in (found the trigger on the Nagant challenging in this excersize)
