#55: "Why do I carry in my own yard?"
For the same reason dogs lick their nutz - because they can.

Re: the priests who molest kids: Matthew 18:6 "If anyone causes one of these little ones-those who believe in me-to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea."
I wouldn't want to be in their shoes when they stand before the Father to be judged.

That's a fine sentiment, but I'd like to see a little justice carried out in this life, also. And not just the perp's, but the bishops who protected them as well.

I can't believe I missed this Thread.
Lol I go to Spokane 2 time's a week.
You think it's bad in the daytime.
Try going around town between 20:00 and 04:00
The down town area between I90 and the Spokane convention center.
Is a third world country.
East Spurege is a another spot .
One thing I noticed this year the homeless drug addicts.
Are not leaving town in the winter like they used to.
They are all camped out under the railroad tracks around the Catholic service in that 4 or 5 block area .

Some are ZOMBIES.
I have almost ran over a few down there.
They just walk into the street .they don't care.
My truck doesn't exactly stop on a dime.

LOL WELL I DON'T REALLY STEP ON THE BREAK.HEHEHE

Yep. The Missus and I were downtown just last week and drove that section on Brown from the Convention Center to the interstate. I was driving, but I regret not asking The Missus to video the mess being created under the railroad tracks as we drove by. That whole area is turning into a shanty town because of the presence of Catholic Services, other organizations, and the inability of the people and government of Spokane to recognize what's going on.

All across the country, cities are experiencing a shake-down by "Homeless Advocates" consisting mostly of socialists and communists who see an opportunity to get free **** while also creating a "crisis" that will weaken our free-enterprise system and advance communism. They couldn't care less about actually ending homelessness. It's a power grab.

I'm angry about this, as you can tell. Here's a blog post I wrote about it on my resurrected blog, Cranky Old Fart.

Create the problem and then provide something that loosely resembles a solution to the untrained eye. All while using the crisis to line your pockets and increase your power base. Blatantly running roughshod over the whole of society. Leftists......

Nothing new here.
Mau-Mauing the Flak Catchers - Tom Wolfe
Mau Mau: verb. to terrorize, intimidate, or threaten.
1970; coined by Tom Wolfe in Radical Chic and Mau-Mauing the Flak Catchers; see Mau Mau

"The homeless" (politically correct term for what used to be called bums) are like stray cats in that by feeding them you get more. Stray cats don't cause the problems that bums do, but the analogy is apt. While there are a few people who are temporarily habitationally challenged due to unfortunate circumstances, most of them are bums because they like the bum lifestyle. By making bumhood a workable alternative it is inevitable that you will get more bums wanting their gibsmedats.
