That's awesome news…. And in Oregon, fees were increased across the board. Gotta get the dems out of power in Oregon…
She's no Kristi Noem, but we need to take the win where we can get it! Oregon hasn't elected a Republican Governor in 35 years and that won't happen with Portland in charge, but a reasonable Independent who is pro-2A? With Democrats also supporting her and hefty campaign contributions already secured, you bet!

Love them both. If Florida wasn't Florida, would like to live there. But anyplace that ignores alligators like they aren't a thing, is not for me.

Also, the fact they needed to create air boats!
Floridians certainly don't ignore alligators. We University of Florida alumni call ourselves and our athletic teams "Gators" in their honor. And to keep their virtues in mind we kept a large representative of the species in a pen on the quad where we could see him daily as we went to and from classes. And perhaps we reminded ourselves to avoid p!ssing anyone off unduely, as everyone had such a handy traditionally Floridian way to get rid of a body. Frosh were so turned on about alligators that many of them bought cute little 5" alligators to keep in their dorm rooms as pets. Then at the end of their first year, after the gator was over a foot long and getting difficult to keep fed and housed, the freshman turned the gator loose in Lake Alice right there at the edge of campus, like a rite of passage, and went home for the summer. People who walked near or swam in Lake Alice certainly didn't ignore gators. We kept our eyes peeled for gators, even though only one kid was ever eaten by a gator in that lake as far as we knew.

My family certainly didn't ignore gators when we went boating in rivers. Whenever we went around a bend my little brother and I would quickly try to count all the gators sunning themselves on the river banks before they somewhat grumpily dropped into the water with enormous plops. More than 30 big ones on our best days. We also scanned any swimming hole or swimming pool before jumping in. Gators sometimes go rambling serious distances and then settle down in someone's backyard swimming pool. After every hurricane, we kept our eyes open for gators and poisonous snakes in our yards and neighborhoods, as they can get washed out of their homes and habitats and can move long distances trying to find their way home or find a new home. And they can be in a foul mood too. But if you were washed out of bed by a hurricane and found yourself miles from home, you probably wouldn't be all sweetness and light either.

As for the airboats, they're great for getting around in a swamp where the water is only three inches deep. And with glass bottomed airboats in crystal clear rivers, its like entering another world.
