I hope this awb doesn't go through and all these people paying $0.60 a rd for 223 ammo or paying $1500-2k for a $800 AR will feel as stupid as they should.

Also speaking of capitalism etc when i was at bimart buying my 1000rds the lady was trying to tell me they could only sell me 4 boxes. I saif if i'm willing to give you money for a product you should sell it to me. It took me a few minutes to convince her to sell me more than 80rds.
She wouldn't sell me more than 4 boxes of the sale riced ammo.
I've worked in retail a lot and if someone came jnto to buy something you sold them all you could.

As a small business owner I'm going to have to disagree. If supply of a product is limited and demand is sky high I'd rather parcel it out and make a bunch of customers (who will likely come back for more soon) happy rather than make one customer (who will likely not be back soon) very happy. Just seems like a smart long term approach.

Everytime i look it gets worse. I vote we either kick out the price gouging maggots or we should be able to post bomb them. Calling them out for being richards.

Just looking at ammo people are selling target ammo for $300 for 500rds?!
I just bought 1000 rds at bimart for under $400.

If Bimart still has $300/1000 ammo available, no one would be listing it for two or three times more here. It's called supply and demand. It might calm down in a month when/if supply replenishes to the retailers, until then, if you want it now, prepare to pay the market rate.

This entire forum is nonsensical traffic?!
And that's the down side of the 1A people get to cry about all the dumb stuff they want.
People pay stupid prices because their either too dumb or too lazy to go get what they want. Ammo isn't getting outlawed, so buying it at ridiculous prices is stupid.
ARs and mags are a different story. But I still wouldn't pay some vulture a heart stopping price for one.

Man i'm just as mad. This is ridiculous. Just like food, water, etc at Y2K.
People like to prey on the vulnerability of others.
Then the sad thing is you turn into that person trying to buy up whatever you can.

About a week ago I saw a couple ARs for sale online and I was going to buy one and they were about $900, i thought probably $150 more than it should be so I didn't. Now everything everywhere is gone. I haven't stopped kicking myself.

I have a carbine AR and I do want another one but probably a 20" with a fixed stock so I know I can buy one later. Just going to have to wait till the craze goes down.

I did buy 10pmags, and ordered another 20 on backorder if they ever come.

The definition of socialism is the equalization of a society by taking from those who can take care of themselves (producers) and giving to the less able or less willing.

Your definition of "common decency" = entitlement, because, you are entitled..........rather than pull your own weight.

Come to the table with something, other than a hand.

Capitalism is based on taking assets from the incompetent and giving the assets to the competent.

Haha... wow... this has to rate right up there with the most absurd responses I have ever seen on this forum... what planet are you from?

I bought ammo before the insanity began.

If you didnt plan for this im sorry. People have been saying it was comming for years and other people said "it will never happen" If you were a never happen guy im sorry and i hope it doesnt pass so you dont get screwed, but,,,, you only have your self to blame when the other "never happen" guys clear out the shelfs.

In this country in these times you should aready have most of the guns you will ever want and enough ammo for 10 years min on hand.

Personally i think anyone selling right now is a fool.

No more posts, We have a Winner

I collect vintage firearms. Last year I bought an AR-15 and shot less then 50 rounds through it.
I really didn't see what was so special about these guns. Sold it a week later.
About three months ago, I had a premonition (might have been about the election coming up) and for some reason that I can't explain, I bought cases of .556/.223, .308, dozens of P mags and a couple of AR's.
So I am sitting on this stuff watching it go up and up wondering whether to sell or keep.
I can make a tidy profit right now, maybe a lot more later depending on which way the wind blows.
Am I a bad guy for thinking ahead, buying at lower pre inflated prices and selling high right now, or hanging on to it and maybe selling it for cost.

This whole discussion is ridiculous, along with all the whining about price gouging. I was at Cabellas this past monday and watched as people were buying armloads of Pmags thinking huh maybe I should get a few, nah the ten I have is enough. Take a look at Ebay now and you'll see Pmags going over $100.00 each, and the auctions are starting at $15-$25. So who is to blame the buyers or the sellers? If in one week you suddenly realized that you don't have what you need/ want then that is your poor planning and not the responsibility of others. I heard that one dealer sold five DPMS AR's at the Salem gun show for $2000.00 each in the first ten minutes. By the arguments here he ripped those people off, but nobody forced them to buy and if nobody bought the price would have been reduced. There are a few items that I have bought at inflated prices knowing that they may fall back to pre-panic costs but that is a risk each of us must weigh. It seems that the op is saying that the guy that bought 500 Pmags at $15.00 each should be willing to sell them for $15.00 each to be a good guy

Well in that sense why don't you not read the thread and not voice your opinion?

You can't complain about someone's complaining!

Were not pissed about buying at high prices. Were complaining people buy what they don't want or need just to turn around and sell it at cocaine prices.

Just for fun, I listed a new complete AR-15 lower on Armslist today for $525.00 (I won't say how much I paid for it earlier this month) and had an offer to buy in 1.6 minutes after it hit the site. Unbelievable.
All this hysteria reminds me of the banking panic of 1930.
