Obvious self esteem issues, like the guys that went full retard the capital Salem a few years ago though was cool to rack the slides on the AR's cause made them cool.
You can't fix stupid, but apparently this guy leases the idea often.

What the hell were you doin in a starbucks?
He was getting a Grande non-fat, caramel macchiato, i.e. a Lite Butterfinger. ;)

I had time to kill yesterday before a meeting. Went into albertsons and grabbed a cheddar bagel then stopped at the starbucks inside the store for coffee on the way out. A small black coffee (thankfully the barista understood that) - their coffee is overroasted. Mcdonalds makes a better cup. And theirs is only a buck, any size, with free refills.
Some people like their coffee tasting like an ash tray. I don't. Prefer strong coffee, but not smoky.
Ditto on Mickey-D's coffee. My daughter was begging to so, and as a treat I took her to Dutch Bros. This immediately after stopping at McD's and getting myself a large, black coffee. She orders her designer drink, guy asks me if I want anything, and I hold up my 20oz'r. He quips back, "yeah, they do make good coffee."

Yeah, it's mind boggling to me how people will line up and wait in long lines for a cup of coffee. I don't care how good it is. Like the Dutch Brothers at the bottom of Singer Hill Road in Oregon City where there is always a line of cars in the drive through and always some j-a who blocks traffic because he just *has* to make the turn even when there isn't room in order to have his special cup of joe and screw everybody else. Geez.

I know the Boersma family who own Dutch Bros. I was one of the contractors working on their golf course at Grants Pass, Dutcher Creek. Travis and Dane were roasting coffee in the barn there for the one store they had in Grants Pass in 1992.

They were probably roasting something else too in the process and they kept telling me.."Dude you have to get in on this coffee thing..we can help you set up in the Portland area and you can get that whole area as a franchise...:eek::eek::eek: for only $ 35,000. "

Now being a working man contractor family man of 35 at the time, 35K with 5 kids was pretty much out of reach to spend on a FREAKING COFFEE SHOP for crist sake. Now, they go for way more than that, and each one nets 200K or more a year. NETS...NETS....Did I say net fing profit ?? And the owners order products and make bank deposits.

Anytime people line up 10 deep and will wait in a que for up to 10 minutes to buy your product, you my friends have hit a grand slam home run in business. Oh to be 35 again.

Great people, good business model, huge success story.

Kinda crazy! I had the opportunity to buy in at the beginning of Microsoft!! I kick my own arse daily for that one. Should have sold everything I owned at the time to do it

I live in OC, and HATE going that route just for that reason. They need to move that little shack somewhere else. Blows my mind they built that bigger one at the top of the hill too - same problem, no room for the line when it builds up. My biggest issue with Dutch Brothers isn't the coffee - it's actually really good coffee - it's the employees. They are over-the-top outgoing extroverts. Every time you visit they want to have an energetic conversation about what I'm doing, where I'm going. All I want is a cup of coffee and cup of shut the hell up - I'm tired, on my way to work, and not interested in a conversation :s0109:

LOL, I had one of those a while back at a Grocery. VERY hard shift over and it was my Friday. I stop at a market for something to eat and treated myself to a bottle of Makers. Since I get off work at 6am store had just opened. No one around. Cashier must have just downed 2 energy drinks. All bubbly, sees the bottle and cheerfully asked me what time it is. Giggling says register will not ring alcohol till 6:00. I stared and said, your store does not open till 6:00. I get off work at 6:00. So my best educated guess is it's after Fing 6:00. she finished with the cheery BSing and rang me up. I felt a little bad as I was leaving but damn. The girl should have been able to see from my face that I was tired and just wanted to pay for my stuff and get out. I'm sorry she just downed 2 Rockstars and no one would talk to her but damn.

Yep, the full moon brought out the crazies but I do believe that the Bloombots hired the instigators, stranger things has happened to push their propaganda out to the biased news channels.....:rolleyes::rolleyes:
Yea I remembering thinking that same thing that day I was there and everyone was cool, just those guys and I went hmmmmmmm:confused:

Just flash back to those chatty girls in high school and beyond. They talked a lot, looked good and there was one way to get them to stop talking for a bit...:eek::eek:. I just listen to them and think back to the good old days, and just sneer at the man bun wearing dudes they have working there.

Besides, their boyfriends are just waiting for them to get off work so they can calm down a bit.:eek: One of my sons friends worked at a couple of those for a while, until he banged too many of the girls and his way out of a job in a couple of months. Must of been a hell of a couple of months though.

You must be a youngster if you pay that much :)
