HAN SHOT FIRST!!

It is finished!! My new Star Wars Hans Solo DL44 "Greedo Killer", built of a REAL fully functioning 1921 Mauser C96, chambered in 7.63x25mm Mauser!!

In Star Wars, Hans Solo's blaster used in the films was built off a real Mauser C96. When filming wrapped in Europe for Star Wars IV: A New Hope and they came back to the states, George Lucas realized that he was missing a scene- the now very famous scene where Han Shoots Greedo in the Cantina. So he had the prop dept coble together a lookalike to the C96 they used for most of the movie. Since they didnt have all the same parts available, they used a few parts that looked very similar but slightly different from the main movie gun. This "Greedo Killer" version was only used in the one scene, where Han famously "Han shot first", killing Greedo. This version has a slightly different muzzle device (off a M3 Grease Gun!) and scope.

(PS- before anyone freaks out that I cut up a historical 1921 Mauser C96- I started this project with the goal of NOT actually cutting or modifying the gun itself in any way- and was sucessful!! Everything is completely reversible. This C96 was chosen since it was a non numbers matching and poor finish, so not a super high value C96).

OK guys, I SWEAR, this will be my last Star Wars Blaster! ;-)

Picked up a BlasTech E-11 - the gun of the OG Storm Troopers!

The movie props were built off a British Sterling machine gun. Canto Arms replicates the originals by taking a Glock lower, with MechTech upper, and then mods it to look like the original movie guns.

The best part about this one- it's in TEN MILLIMETER!!

What's better than 9mm? 10mm!! ;-)

Overkill with the muzzle weight? :) Weighs 55oz without a magazine

Yes, Way overweight for a carry gun. My all steel 1911 Commander weighs 36.5oz and it's heavy enough.
On the other hand, my 3" J-Frame weighs 23.6 oz and my 44 (329) weighs 26.3. For 55 oz I'll take the S&W 500. I had one and it was a real chore to pack around.

Now, as a range/sport gun, that thing is probably a pussycat.

Not my carry gun at any point, she's my range gun - for fun. It shoots like it's a pellet gun except for the blast of fire that shoots outta all those ports.
