Selling out of state?

    are you required to be a resident of the state of oregon to sell rifles or handguns? what are the rules for selling person to person in oregon. i'm from nevada and still have my nevada DL....

    You can sell to someone in Oregon but you must go through an FFL if you live in another state. To sell person to person you must be a resident of the same state.

    What deadeye said. There is one exception, if the buyer has a C&R and the gun is a C&R. C&R=curio and relic, basically 50 years old or more. ATF has a list of C&R guns. Some AR's well be on that list soon.

    That is not an exception since that is NOT a private sale. That is a sale to an FFL which is legal and has its own rules.
