Exactly!!
Scopes on an AK are useless, but a red dot on an Aterro Arms mount is the absolute best setup I've used in 20yrs of building and shooting AKs. Mine has the Trijicon MRO mount.

I think for sniper like accuracy out of an AK platform, you need the PSL/Dragunov. Those barrels are like 6ft long. lolol

Well, dragunov is an entirely different rifle on its own and is 8k or up. The PSL is usually 2k these days.

The longer barrel doesn't add accuracy, just velocity. If anything a longer barrel can reduce accuracy. Adding to that, neither of those rifles are very accurate, accurate for a DMR role and that's about it.

An AK is capable of similar accuracy of those two depending on ammo, and the AK in question.
