Just like with those on WELFARE (and other Govt give aways)......
This war, will probably be a LESSON.
That COUNTRIES, don't really have to/need to spend a great portion of their own money to defend their own country. BECAUSE, the WEST (read as USA) is/will be willing to send them FREE $HIT.

Read an article about US/Korean exercises in Korea yesterday.

Made me think of the scenario where Korea makes trouble for the USA there, then China invading Taiwan/etc., while Russia keeps NATO busy in Ukraine.

But I am not sure China will be ready for invading Taiwan before Ukraine is resolved, plus NATO/USA is gearing up and more countries are joining NATO - so while NATO/US is sending a lot of armament/ammo to Ukraine, we are also gearing up our industry to build up our resupply capacity.

Finland cancels Russian Icebreaker construction which halts Russian ambitions in the polar areas it owns, all construction now underway will be sold to other interested countries, possibly the United States Coast Guard, who would be leasing a couple of large breakers until its own domestic production catches up, especially after the two+ year delay due to Covid! The U.S. was also considering the outright purchase of the Ice Breaker Otso, a breaker long held in high esteem by the U.S. for taking over antarctic supply missions after the Polar Star incident took her out of service, the Otso has long been one of the few breakers able to handle the difficult conditions and help the U.S. at it's base in the Antarctic! This would be a super smart move by the U.S. to outright purchase Ice Breaker Otso and refit her for Coast Guard actions!
