This is pretty crazy.

At the beginning of May 2023, Russian media shared a flurry of videos from salt mines near Soledar. The videos showcased a captured weapons storage depot said to be inside part of the mine complex which was recently captured by Russian private military contractor unit Wagner.
The storage depot is massive. There are supposedly 292K crates containing small arms and ammunition. Much of it is believed to be old stuff (WW1 and WW2) but it's impossible to know what is actually there...or was there. But at the 4:30 mark we see a guy cracking open a LARGE crate and inside are a number of what appear to be NEW, pristine Thompsons. šŸ˜ Imagine what those things would be worth here.

Wow thats really incredible, and it makes you wonder what else is out there in the world hiding in the back of some forgotten warehouse! Its why I cringe at the increasing number of firearm import bans. Might not be able to import any stuff like this in the future from countries that want to sell us their historical surplus.
