Slide the bolt back then forward about half way so the dust cover is behind the bolt. Do you see multiple small lugs (like a Weatherby Mk V) or one big lug (like a 700)? They both work fine and can shoot surprisingly well - the barrels are free-floated unlike the semi-autos. If it's 80's vintage with fleur de lis it is most likely a 9 but not sure when they went from the 760 to the 7600 is the reason I ask.

Quick internet search said the 7600 was introduced in 1981.
