I'm heading out to go rabbit hunting and I'm wondering if there is a round in gun limit that I need to be aware of.

Will my 10/22 with a 50round mag be legal? (joking about 50 rounds...)

check your states hunting regs. I've only every seen capacity limits on shotguns for waterfowl/upland birds and turkeys.

For Oregon, the only thing Ive read is a 5 round max mag capacity on semi auto center fire rifles. but this was/is in the big game synopsis. & it was relating to big game hunting. For varmints,... I would think anything goes,....
But that's just an assumption on my part, & you know what that makes!

I was out near Hepner looking for bunnies with 2 buddies & my son when a ODFW officer stopped us to check hunting liscenses & what rifles we were using, my son had his Ruger 10/22 with 25 RND mag hanging out of the bottom of it, he didnt have anything to say about it.

I guess it depends on how many rounds you want to carry in your 300 capacity mag.

How was the rabbit hunting? We need some pics...and a report on what you ended up using on them.

No pics, saw 1 rabbit... didn't hit it.

I took my Marlin model 60 and called it good. 14 rounds in the tube.

The camping and dirtbike riding was fun but the hunting was terrible.

Sorry to hear that. They were probably still in the process of waking up from a long slumber.
