Unfortunately, preaching to the choirs is needless, as is preaching to the ever increasing numbers of insincere and pugnacious.
Hopefully, the in-betweens will become thoughtful and rational vote swings, and not just blind groupies or overly emotional muffins..
Likely a lot of hopeful here

No, this isn't preaching to the choir. It's asking gun-owners and RKBA supporters to actually get off their collective a$$es and counter the BS consistently spewed by the antis, the media and the liberal politicians.

See a story on a news website, a TV news show, and newspaper article or an op-ed that's full of misinformation, disinformation, manipulative emotional arguments, lies, distortions or bad statistics -- e-mail the station, editor, writer -- all the websites have contact links. Write an e-mail or snail-mail letter to the editor of the Times. Counter this crap. Attend the committee hearings at the Capitol. E-mail your legislators.

Preaching to the choir is what we do here. Pushing back on the gun control lies is what we need to do publicly.

The insincere and pugnacious aren't going to listen, nor are the in-betweens going to "become thoughtful and rational vote swings" unless our side becomes better at activism and public communication. As things stand right now, we're great at talking to each other in this medium, but we suck at appealing to those outside our community, but more to the point, we silence ourselves when we do not respond publicly to the antis.

Call up the media and ask them to quit lying.

Does this sound familiar to anybody else?

Perhaps most effective, technique employed by Hitler and his Propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels, was the "Big Lie," the idea that you could tell a lie, often the more outrageous the better, and repeat it so often that opposition to the lie--the truth--could be overwhelmed and people would believe the lie to be the truth and disbelieve the actual truth. This technique was used to slander and libel political opponents and to obscure or erase the failures of the Nazi party, the party leaders and Germany itself. One of the best Big Lies is to label anything your political opponents say as examples of a Big Lie. A singular advantage of this technique is that once people are aware of the idea of a Big Lie, it is self-reinforcing. People know they are being lied to so, rather than researching the truth, they merely cling to their favorite lies, secure in their faith that "the other guy" is lying.

BUT, But, but.....now-a-days, there are so many REALITIES (and versions of the TRUTH). Cough, cough.....
