Many years ago I was shooting at an area north of Redmond and it was relatively flat and I saw some unnaturally looking brown 'lumps' on the ground in the distance so I jumped in my rig and headed toward them and upon arrival discovered it was several dead elk with the antlers sawed off.

I had an early cell phone so I called the State Police and they informed me they were already aware of them.
