The legislation is too vague: I mean, I can notch all of my cast bullets with a simple X from a penknife and call myself safe.
"Assault Weapon" is not defined and the legislation fails to realize that all firearms manufactured are coded with a manufacturer's serial number.
This is a good example of the blind leading the blinder.
Some nutjob is always sponsoring legislation like this and too many people count on it failing because it is fringe garbage. You still have to pay attention to it though. Never underestimate how ill informed law makers can be about what they are actually voting on. You have to make sure they realize something is a turd and not count on them being able to smell it for themselves.
The 68 gun control act required any ammo that fit a handgun had to be registered when you bought it. After many years of paperwork and not one single crime being solved due to this massive intrusion on our rights the regulation was done away with.
Thank the liberal progressives if stupidity comes back our way.
