I wonder if they define blowback operated firearms as gas operated? I think they were looking for a cute acronym and that is where the gas operated part came into play.

Nammac;

A smart, thinking man will stock up the revolver collection. Judging by the sudden jump in revolver prices awhile back, there's a lot of smart, thinking people.

Have you been following the prices and lack of availability on lever action carbines and rifles?

I used to not worry about these kind of laws believing they would never pass.
But WA has passed so many plainly unconstitutional laws I don't rely on it anymore.

Good point, may need to add a lever action rifle or two to the collection as well.

I was thinking the EXACT same thing.

The bill name makes no sense at all, as if the gas operation of a semi auto is the cause of so called "gun violence".
I find it interesting how 'they' have managed to 'segue' into the operating systems of firearms to establish, on how these weapons actually work and the features that make them especially dangerous," (from the article). I mean at first it was forward assist, pistol grip stocks, appearance, color etc.

Whats next with them ? Will it eventually end up with 'Guns are dangerous because they have rifled barrels which effectively launch deadly projectiles'?

I guess that SOME (even around here) are perhaps still willing to compromise with them?

First they came for the Socialists Hi-cap magazines, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist I had no Hi-cap magazines.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists Semi-automatic firearms, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist I had no Semi-automatic firearms.

Then they came for the Jews shotguns, rifles and revolvers, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew I did not own a shotgun, rifle or revolver.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me real weapons left to put up a fight with.
