That's no meteor. Its apparently the Falcon 9 breaking up?

Yeah I heard that theory too. Whatever it was, it was crazy!

Seems to be confirmed that its the expendable 2nd stage of a Falcon 9 that was launched a few weeks ago and failed to do a deorbit burn and now fell into the atmosphere in the PNW

The strung-out and variable sized pieces would verify the Falcon 9 theory. A solid meteor would not leave such a long string of debris behind the main mass.

It was seen up here in WA too. It went out as a LOT of people calling 911 to report an aircraft going down

I saw it.
It came over Corvallis around 9pm, I would have missed it if I hadn't gone out front to close up the gate on the driveway for the night.
It might have been the prettiest thing I have ever seen in the sky, and it was huge, seemed like it was close to the ground because it was taking up so much of the sky, you couldn't cover it with your hand at arms length, and it was moving fast and not making a sound, by the time I had run upstairs to point it out to my wife, it was just flickering lights in the distance.
