I wonder why they like to age meteorites "4.6 billion-year-old meteorite" seems a weird stat to mention in an article. They are rocks floating in space. of course they are old. They are made of heavier elements formed in supernovas billions of years ago. Its not like a supernova happened near mars last week and the newly formed meteors fell and hit this dudes house.

Why not throw in some other irrelevant descriptions? "A meteorite that was not pink in color hit this guys house" "A meteorite made of meteor landed on this guys house"

I would be curious how much that piece of meteorite could be sold for? I believe they are expensive, it may cover the cost of the roof repair and then some.
maybe a 2nd mortgage on the house, and I could afford this small piece of Meteorite ?
