Has anyone seen a stock like this on a .22 rifle. It has the Wards Western Field store brand on it
I'm thinking it was made by Mossberg, but it could also be a Savage.
The stock really intrigues me. Any info would be appreciated.
Interesting that the rifle in the OP is what appears to be a tube fed rifle...yet also has a "cocking piece"...a feature usually found on single shot , bolt action .22 rifles.
Which actually "rings a bell " with me...I'll have to hit my books later after school.
Edit to add :
To my eye the stock and bolt handle look like a homemade / home gunsmith job.
Not that , that is a "bad thing" , but it could be important to the rifle's "value".

The stock can't be original. It looks like a youth sized LOP and is made for a sandbag type target rest.
It comes with the vintage side plate scope rings.
