Lets keep that momentum moving ahead in 2019:s0042:

Indeed, I'll take this WIN. MUCH better than the alternative.

But as we know, these efforts aren't going away. Typical MSM, the video in the link doesn't even address the court's favorable ruling or why.

The momentum could perhaps be beneficial to getting a pro2A initiative on the books...something that prevents laws that turns law abiding citizen gun owners into criminals. Legal today, legal tomorrow, and can be passed down to future generations.

But we've got to keep showing fellow gun owners what's going on...lots still out there that are as oblivious as if a 10 mile-wide-comet missed the earth by 50,000 miles and they never heard about it. Or perhaps worse, many will be 'See, told you it would never happen.'

Gotta start turning that tide, because it's not if, it's when they're going to come back with this and more...

Boss

Got a plan for that? I'd LIKE a State Constitutional amendment decreeing that "No Act shall be passed, whether by Legislation, Initiative or any other process, placing any more restriction on the manufacture, sale or possession of firearms in this State more restrictive than Federal law." Sadly, it's as likely as me sprouting a second pecker and having a successful career in porn... LOL

I do have some irons in the fire.....if all pans out as planned.

Sooo.....maybe the NRA bashing around here could calm down now? The next person that says the NRA doesn't do anything for gun owners will get a hyperlink posted back to this thread!
Only if people are stupid. The NRA did NOT win the suit or even greatly invest in fighting it. They simply filed a duplicate suit (that costs $80) to the one SAF filed...and only after it looked like a potential win. They just wanted their name on the verdict. This is standard practice to them. It is a way to fundraise on the work of others. Send your money to SAF...not the NRA. It was their actions and money that saved the day.

I'll say it, the NRA did not solve this, could they have. Absolutely.
Locals solved this, the NRA has done minimal work the last 20 years here. And even if the NRA had done this, where
were they the last twenty years of laws sliding by with so little of a whimper, in reality OFF did more to promote information on this then the NRA did and they don't even live there LOL. I am grateful that these people did step up, had we waited for the NRA whom knows if they would have even filed. Those who held the line on this, much respect.. :s0042: My friends and Family up there glad it all worked out!

This is a very good sign
The NRA needs to keep working at state level. To me this is very positive sign where gun owners actually can see the NRA do something. What happens in DC is important but it is removed from the common person.

The opposition will be back. They figured we were so darn dumb they could slip anything by. Still, they were stopped on a technicality, next time they'll hire a better lawyer. At least they burned $3M trying.

Question is, how do we make 'em spend more and get less next time? I firmly believe having the similar-numbered I-1634 out at the same time muddied the waters by design... and that their hiring Eyman's signature gatherers was also deliberate. Timmy's gotta clean his house...

Yes we know. You don't like the NRA. Or Glocks, or appendix carry.....the list goes on and on.

Bottom line is whom ever and how ever , lets be grateful for how this played out.
I don't care how it was stopped, just damn glad it was.
No reason to bicker over great news gees people.

Wah wah wah wah is what I heard.
Your blind allegiance to an organization run by non-gunloving profiteers who willingly sell your rights for profit on a regular basis is your issue...not mine. I am just glad less ignorant people are out there. People that will actually fight for our rights. People like OFF, SAF, GOA, etc.

But you go ahead an keep cheerleading LaPierre and Cox. Two people that could not care less about you or your rights.

Like them or not, if you waived a magic want and POOF the NRA never existed, then POOF we would have no 2A.

Bull...that is garbage. The GOA and SAF do far more to win our victories in the court. Not conspire with politicians to sell rights for profit. You would serve yourself well to educate yourself on the actual history of the NRA before defending them.
