Very interesting article by CPRC. Using FBI data showing a massive discrepancy in statistics. (As if we didn't already know) The FBI claiming only 4.4% of GGWG incidents.
"Massive errors in FBI's Active Shooting Reports regarding cases where civilians stop attacks: Instead of 4.4%, the correct number is at least 34.4%. In 2021, it is at least 49.1%. Excluding gun-free zones, it averaged over 50%."
What's especially interesting is the FBI's reasoning for excluding some pertinent cases in their reports. IE.., While including a DV or retribution type shootings in their mass shooting statistics... they exclude them in their stats of when a civilian intervenes with a legally owned firearm... because... those aren't "mass shooting events", which are indiscriminate. They are DV and retribution shootings. Rightttt.....
